Willagee Alive

willagee_alive_logo Willagee Alive commenced in 2003 and is an initiative of Willagee residents and aims to identify and build upon strengths and assets within Willagee, to build community pride and participation and to make Willagee a great place to live.

Willagee Alive meet monthly to discuss projects, ideas and opportunities within the community. They meet at the Willagee Community Centre on the second Wednesday of each month at 6pm in summer and on the second Wednesday of each month at 1pm in winter. Everyone is welcome.

In the seven years since forming Willagee Alive, the group has delivered these projects:

Outdoor movies, Parties in the Park, Community Fetes, Community Care Project, Bush Dance, Christmas Carols, Welcome Pack, Look Up A Local Directory, Seniors Week Concert, Community Calendar and Photographic Exhibition, Easter Egg Hunt, International Men’s Health Week event, Spring Fair and Book Stalls.

They have published a History Book “Willagee Way”, have had a team member nominated and win City of Melville Citizen of the Year and have been awarded Community Group of the Year.

All funds raised by Willagee Alive go back into the community. The group has developed strong relationships with the local business community as well as the church, school, sporting and aged care community.
